illegal gold mining

The government nor the police of Lombok want to make gold mining illegal and declared that people should have their responsibility for the illegal gold mining. As of December, the mining activities had expanded to four villages, involving more people outside Sekotong, which lies 35 kilometers south of Mataram, the provincial capital city. some illegal mining was conducted in the open and involved hundreds of people living near the mines, which are located far from residential areas and most of the miners didn't realized that their activity to mine is illegal!!! The provincial administration had urged the West Lombok administration to take action against the illegal mining.
